Meeting point: Ghent Sint Pieters Railway Station, 9h45
Please register on https://goo.gl/forms/W0HPO0bJiK3ogyKp1 Going to Brussels to visit the House of European History and the Parlementarium has always been on our mind. Now that the Parlementarium hosts a special exhibition called "State of Deception: the Power of Nazi Propaganda", it seems like the right moment to go. But there's more! On 5 May, the European Institutions will open their doors for the public. Ever wondered how the European Commission, the European Council or the European Parliament look like inside? Do you want to take a seat in the huge Parliament, debate with some MEP's and vote on some European questions? You can do all of that on 5 May! If it gets too political for you, you can go back outside to enjoy some vibes, because during this weekend the region of Brussels celebrates the "Iris Festival" all around the city. The weather will probably be very good, so the Place du Luxembourg will be turned into a real summer festival scene, with a DJ stage, international food fairs and much more. In short: a full day to celebrate and learn about history, international affairs and the European story. We will meet at Ghent-Sint-Pieters Railway Station at 9h45 to take the train to Brussels, just so those who are interested in the debate about 'fake news' won't miss it. That debate starts at 11h in the European Parliament. Ofcourse you're more than welcome to join us whenever you want, you'll just have to get to Brussels yourself then.
